Federal judge blocks New York's ban on algorithmic rent pricing

U.S. District Judge Valerie Caproni issued a preliminary injunction blocking New York State from enforcing a law that prohibits landlords from using algorithms to set apartment rents, following a First Amendment challenge by the software company RealPage.
